Lloyds Watch Company is an original and exciting British based watch brand. We create and produce luxury timepieces, which are all, designed, hand finished and assembled in the United Kingdom. Ever since Day 1, our philosophies and visions have always been the same, and they will continue to remain unchanged.
Our watches are produced in the United Kingdom as they were envisaged from the very beginning; built from the foundations of simple British Design.
SWISS REFINEMENT.
Created to explore an exciting relationship between high quality Swiss Mechanical Movements and British design, engineering and craftsmanship, Lloyds Watch Company shares a passion for design and horology with every single one of its customers; this is reflected in the pieces we create.
Switzerland produces some of the finest watch movements on the planet; therefore it felt only right to incorporate them into our pieces. A decision of which was taken to ensure that our timepieces are not just beautiful on the outside, but the inside too. The beating heart of our watches, we refer to it as Swiss Refinement.
A YEAR IN THE MAKING...
Launching a debut piece is never going to be easy, after all, you only get one chance. Because of this, we spent over a year developing, and refining, the design to ensure every last detail was correct.
DESIGN PROCESS.
By utilizing modern technology, such as 3D CAD, throughout the design process we could produce, and then review, multiple revisions of the design quickly and efficiently to ensure the end result was the very best that we could possibly offer.
A huge asset, and a big part of our design and development cycle, was the use of 3D Printing. Being able to have a physical model of a design in your hand, or in this case on your wrist, within a matter of days was a huge advantage and allowed us to progress aspects of our design much quicker than we could of have without it.
MANUFACTURING PROCESS.
The use of modern technology is also carried through to the manufacturing process of our products, however in contrast; we also combine it with the use of more traditional hand finishing techniques, such as polishing and brushing. This combination of traditional and modern manufacturing techniques, has resulted in a beautiful end product.
Take the Main Case for example, this component starts life as a solid billet of Stainless Steel 316L, it is then machined using the latest in 5 Axis CNC technology. By selecting this manufacturing process, we were able to design complex curved geometry into the lugs of our watch; aesthetically it looks fantastic, it also means it fits the wrist extremely well whilst being worn. Here at Lloyds Watch Co. we are big believers in form and function working together.
We are proud to introduce ‘Series A’ as our debut piece, combining Mechanical Engineering inspired design, exceptional material selection and high quality hand finishing.
